Conference: Film bildet!
A survey of projects and approaches in Germany
What is the situation of film education in Germany today? Which approaches are there to promote film literacy in academic and non-academic contexts? These questions will be addressed during a conference in Frankfurt on Friday, October 6, and Saturday, October 7, hosted by the sections ‘school’ and ‘film’ of the society for media education and communication culture (GMK). In cooperation with the Deutsches Filminstitut, the conference is taking place during LUCAS – International Festival for Young Film Lovers. In addition to several short keynote speeches, the conference is intended for the presentation of different projects. The discussion will focus on a common evaluation of quality and the potential transferability of good formats. One of the aims is to implement a kind of map of film literacy initiatives in the Federal Republic of Germany.
The conference is open to the interested specialist audience. To register, please contact horst.sulewski(at)arcor.de.
