Azra Deniz Okyay was born in Istanbul in 1983. She studied film at the University Sorbonne-Nouvelle in Paris and has been working freelance for production companies, such as Partizan, Depo and 85/90 Projects.

Sendijarević is an Amsterdam-based Bosnian filmmaker. She studied film in Amsterdam and Berlin, before graduating with a degree in script writing from the Netherlands Film Academy. Sendijarević has written and directed several award-winning short films which have made the international festival circuit. She is currently working on her feature film debut.
