On Tuesday, October 3, the Deutsches Filmmuseum is opening its doors wide for family festivities on all floors. From 10 o’clock onwards the youngest viewers can discover short films in the »Cinemini« theatre, including experiments with light and shadow. The film LITTLE REVENGE (VE 1985, director: Olegario Barrera) offers an excursion into LUCAS film history and due to the extensive programme, it is possible to stay in the cinema seats all day long.
What happens during an audition und what kind of tricks do professional stuntmen and women have up their sleeves? On this day, professionals reveal how they do their jobs. Acting workshops within the exhibition »Abgedreht! Die Filmfabrik von Michel Gondry« create the atmosphere of a real film set. You can dive into the world of film on guided tours through the permanent exhibitions and beam yourself into your favourite films in the Bluebox. Jury member Tobias Krell, better known as »Checker Tobi« of the children’s channel KIKA, will be going around LUCAS in the afternoon to do the festival check. Prizes can be won at a quiz-rally and at the LUCAS wheel of fortune. And of course, no Family Day would be complete without balloons, treats and children’s make-up.
