France 2019. Directors: Arthur Nollet, Maxime Faraud, Mégane Hirth et. al. 8 Min. Animated Short. No dialogue. Released without age restriction.

An island in the Northern Atlantic: Maïja is waiting for the return of her father, who is a sailor. She loves to play with a small wooden ship that he gave her as a present. But the longer she has to wait, the less fun she has playing.

Arthur Nollet (*1995, Montélimar, France) says he lived all over the world before he came back to France to study film and become a storyteller. MAÏJA is his diploma thesis as well as his first animated short film. In the future, Nollet wants to focus on storyboard, editing, and set design in order to develop as a director.
