L’Extraordinaire Voyage de Marona | Maronas fantastische Reise
Imaginative animated film about life from a dog’s perspective
Romania/France/Belgium 2019. Director: Anca Damian. Screenplay: Anca Damian, Anghel Damian. 92 Min. Animated film. French Original with English subtitles, with German Voice-Over (online optionally). Released for audiences from 6 years of age. Recommended from 9 years of age.
What would the world look like if you were a dog? For the stray dog, Marona, it is colourful, exciting, and often dangerous– it is a world that is always on the move. “Happiness is different for dogs than for people,” says Marona at the end of her life. She has met many acquaintances: the acrobat Manole, the good-natured construction worker Istvan or Solange, the girl with blue hair who grew up way too fast. Watch and be amazed as this cartoon invites you to think about what is actually important in life– not only to dogs.
