Angel was just released from juvenile detention. Without documents and estranged from old friends, she travels to her sister, who lives in a foster family. Together they take off to the Atlantic, where their father is supposed to own a house. But the gun in Angel’s purse leaves no doubts about her motives. Located in the impoverished classes of Philadelphia’s black community, NIGHT COMES ON gives an authentic view of the lives of children who fight for themselves. Fiercely played by Dominique Fishback and Tatum Marilyn Hall. (AB)
