If life is considered a storm, Anita will turn to the wind with open arms: She should not allow cancer to tear her father from her side at any price, especially after her lost her mother. After years of radio silence, can she persuade her uncle to help? In harsh and fascinating images of the barren landscape of Sardinia, the film tells the story of the rebellious Anita’s struggle for her father’s life. Traditional family structures and the destruction of landscape and nature on the island are brought to light. (HA)

Mario Piredda (*1980, Sassari, Italy),  lives and works as a director and cameraman in Bologna, where he graduated with a university degree in arts, music, and acting (DAMS). His short films (including IONO SONO QUI, A CASA MIA) have won several awards at national and international film festivals, the latter the David di Donatello FilmPrize. With THE LAMB he released his first feature film in 2019.
