YOUNG JULIETTE
Jeune Juliette | Juliette
Comedy about the craziest time in life: puberty
Canada 2019. Director & Screenplay: Anne Émond. 93 Min. Fiction. French Original with English subtitles, with German voice-over (online optional). Released for audiences from 6 years of age. Recommended for audiences from 13 years of age.
Juliette is 14 years old, and as if that alone doesn’t make life complicated enough, she is also quite chubby and very redheaded. On the popularity scale of her class, this is way at the bottom. But she is funny, quick-witted, and has a best friend and big dreams. Juliette wants to go to New York, she wants to kiss the coolest guy in school, and she wants to throw a mega party. No sooner said than done, the girl throws herself into life with all its ups and downs– learning about boys, love, friendship, and above all, herself. (KT)
