Events and more

Exciting and interesting events are available at LUCAS even beyond the cinema seat. The festival week offers visitors the opportunity to talk to experts about current developments in children’s and youth film, to exchange, to get into conversation with filmmakers from the region and from all over the world and to get to know innovative film mediation approaches.

Tuesday, 24 September, is the festival’s industry day. Discuss with the LUCAS panel members about »Diversity in children’s and youth films« and find out why young filmmakers are telling stories for young audiences today on the »Newcomer films for young audiences« panel. The industry day will kick off on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Offenbach with the award ceremony in the »Krass gegen Hass« school film competition, presented by LUCAS. In addition, the 8th MedienBildungsMesse will be a guest at LUCAS on Wednesday, 25 September.

The LUCAS-Festival location »Yachtklub« provides a relaxed or even festive end to the day with nice conversations and good music in front of a film-like backdrop on the Main.
