PUFFIN ROCK AND THE NEW FRIENDS, WE GROWN NOW and THE OTHER SON recei\u00adved awards as the best inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal fea\u00adture-length films for young audi\u00aden\u00adces. The short film THE STORM IN HER HEART was hono\u00adred with the award for out\u00adstan\u00adding cine\u00adma\u00adtic achie\u00adve\u00adment. The pri\u00adzes for the best short films go to GAME RULES in the Competition \u00bbKids\u00ab and GIRL NO. 60427 in the Competition \u00bbTeens\u00ab. \nFirst of all, we would like to prai\u00adse all the films we have seen! They are all spe\u00adcial and we had a gre\u00adat time at the movies with this com\u00adpe\u00adti\u00adti\u00adon. The movie that final\u00adly made it to the top made important and com\u00adpli\u00adca\u00adted topics clear for the youn\u00adgest audi\u00adence. Friendships have to be nur\u00adtu\u00adred, it\u2019s hard to lose your home and find your feet all alo\u00adne, mista\u00adkes can hap\u00adpen, but you have to stand by them. Our favo\u00adri\u00adte PUFFIN ROCK tells all this in an exci\u00adting, har\u00admo\u00adnious and com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsi\u00adble way, not only for the youn\u00adgest, but also for us \u2014 in a won\u00adderful ani\u00adma\u00adti\u00adon style.<\/p>\n

\nAs a jury, we have taken it upon our\u00adsel\u00adves not to award \u2018hono\u00adrable men\u00adti\u00adons\u2019 light\u00adly. The child actor in par\u00adti\u00adcu\u00adlar ama\u00adzed us. From the very first sce\u00adne, you could iden\u00adti\u00adfy with him through his acting. We were quick\u00adly drawn into a dif\u00adfe\u00adrent rea\u00adli\u00adty; that of a litt\u00adle boy in a dif\u00adfi\u00adcult situa\u00adti\u00adon. Themes such as jus\u00adti\u00adce, respon\u00adsi\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adty and fami\u00adly are por\u00adtray\u00aded and con\u00advey\u00aded through the cha\u00adrac\u00adters, making the movie rele\u00advant to the world.<\/p>\n

\nWe give the award for the best short film to a very tou\u00adch\u00ading and important movie. We lik\u00aded the way it was ani\u00adma\u00adted. They show\u00aded that the ter\u00adri\u00adble past should open our eyes and that we need to talk and inform our\u00adsel\u00adves about the histo\u00adry of the Holocaust. The movie draws you in from the very first minu\u00adte. All the jury mem\u00adbers agreed that this film should recei\u00adve an award.<\/p>\n

Award for an Outstanding Cinematic Achievement (2,000 \u20ac)<\/strong>

The sum\u00admer vaca\u00adti\u00adon awa\u00adkens a sea of emo\u00adti\u00adons in Xiaoyue. While she looks nost\u00adal\u00adgi\u00adcal\u00adly at the river sur\u00adroun\u00added by cliffs as a fami\u00adli\u00adar place of rela\u00adxa\u00adti\u00adon, fee\u00adlings of lust awa\u00adken. A con\u00adfu\u00adsing rela\u00adti\u00adonship deve\u00adlo\u00adps with one of her father\u2019s cli\u00adents: magi\u00adcal, but also dangerous.<\/p>\n

\nWe defi\u00adned the requi\u00adre\u00adment for this award as a spe\u00adcial achie\u00adve\u00adment in terms of audio\u00advi\u00adsu\u00adal sto\u00adrytel\u00adling, i.e. in the are\u00adas of aes\u00adthe\u00adtics, tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgy and cine\u00adma\u00adto\u00adgra\u00adphy; what you see, feel and hear. One movie caught our eye. Although the\u00adre was hard\u00adly any dia\u00adlo\u00adgue, the film has gre\u00adat mea\u00adning and tells the sto\u00adry of a young per\u00adson start\u00ading a new life after being belitt\u00adled and under\u00admi\u00adned. The film deals with the\u00admes of chan\u00adge, inde\u00adpen\u00addence and equa\u00adli\u00adty. Close-ups and their color palet\u00adtes make you feel like you\u2019\u00adre wat\u00adching a poem. The sub\u00adjects were detail\u00aded, which made us feel immer\u00adsed in the movie.<\/p>\n

But how can you learn to fly when the world wants to shack\u00adle you? And what hap\u00adpens to a fri\u00adend\u00adship when one of the two fri\u00adends sud\u00adden\u00adly has to move away?<\/p>\n

\nFor us, the\u00adre was a fea\u00adture-length film that con\u00advin\u00adced us on all levels. It tells an emo\u00adtio\u00adnal sto\u00adry about a fri\u00adend\u00adship bet\u00adween two boys that deve\u00adlo\u00adps in a bad time in a bad place and con\u00adfronts them with various tri\u00adals. The movie deals with the\u00admes such as fol\u00adlo\u00adwing one\u2019s dreams, iden\u00adti\u00adty, ori\u00adgin and inde\u00adpen\u00addence from par\u00adents. We were also impres\u00adsed by the cine\u00adma\u00adto\u00adgra\u00adphy, set design and other levels of film\u00adma\u00adking. We think that the key points of the movie are very well rea\u00adli\u00adzed and important for teenagers.<\/p>\n

Young, free and into\u00adxi\u00adca\u00adted, Sim\u00f3n, his brot\u00adher Federico and his cli\u00adque are on their way to a par\u00adty. \nIt was very dif\u00adfi\u00adcult to choo\u00adse one movie as the win\u00adner, not only becau\u00adse they are so dif\u00adfe\u00adrent, but also becau\u00adse they are all so gre\u00adat. In the end, we cho\u00adse this movie becau\u00adse the sto\u00adry felt so real and the topic is so rele\u00advant to our age group. After wat\u00adching the movie and hea\u00adring the back\u00adstory in the film talk with the direc\u00adtor, we felt so con\u00adnec\u00adted to the cha\u00adrac\u00adters\u2019 fee\u00adlings and expe\u00adri\u00aden\u00adces. The actors were incre\u00addi\u00adble and the film\u00ading was unforgettable.<\/p>\n
