I ACCIDENTALLY WROTE A BOOK, WILD FOXES and WHERE THE WIND COMES FROM recei\u00adved the awards for the best inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal fea\u00adture-length films for young audi\u00aden\u00adces in their respec\u00adti\u00adve sec\u00adtions. HAPPYEND was hono\u00adred with the award for an out\u00adstan\u00adding cine\u00adma\u00adtic achie\u00adve\u00adment. The pri\u00adzes for the best short films went to HAPPY THINGS in Competition \u00bbKids\u00ab and NARMOOK in Competition \u00bbTeens\u00ab. Festival direc\u00adtor Julia Flei\u00dfig con\u00adgra\u00adtu\u00adla\u00adted the award win\u00adners in the DFF Cinema.<\/p>\n

Although very litt\u00adle is spo\u00adken, you feel for the main cha\u00adrac\u00adter when she has to pro\u00adve hers\u00adelf in the dif\u00adfi\u00adcult situa\u00adtions of an arduous ever\u00ady\u00adday life. In a per\u00adfect blend of sad\u00adness and hope, the film traces the com\u00adplex rela\u00adti\u00adonship bet\u00adween caring daugh\u00adter and sick mother, and finds the pos\u00adsi\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adty of hap\u00adpi\u00adness in the moment even in the face of this dif\u00adfi\u00adcult subject.<\/p>\n

On one such jour\u00adney, Stella once dis\u00adap\u00adpeared; Celeste was rai\u00adsed by a robo\u00adtic Ame, who looks after her like a mother \u2014 occa\u00adsio\u00adnal\u00adly the two have litt\u00adle com\u00adpe\u00adti\u00adti\u00adons to see who can fold more beau\u00adtiful ori\u00adga\u00admi figu\u00adres. On her jour\u00adney, Celeste dis\u00adco\u00advers new, stran\u00adge and dan\u00adge\u00adrous crea\u00adtures and finds hers\u00adelf fol\u00adlo\u00adwing in her mother\u2019s foot\u00ads\u00adteps, while at home her nur\u00adse remi\u00adnis\u00adces about Celeste\u2019s child\u00adhood and looks for a new occupation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThis lovin\u00adg\u00adly ani\u00adma\u00adted film tells the sto\u00adry of the deep\u00adly human fri\u00adend\u00adship bet\u00adween a girl and a robot wit\u00adhout any dia\u00adlog. When the girl sets off on a jour\u00adney to the stars and has to lea\u00adve the robot behind, the film beco\u00admes a tou\u00adch\u00ading sto\u00adry about memo\u00adries and say\u00ading good\u00adbye. We lik\u00aded the fact that you can empa\u00adthi\u00adze with a robot and that the film offers a very good mix of exci\u00adting, sad and humo\u00adrous sce\u00adnes. For us, SPACE CADET unfolds a clear mes\u00adsa\u00adge that goes far bey\u00adond the movie: that some\u00adti\u00admes you have to let go, and that beau\u00adtiful memories

To switch off, he roams the woods with his best fri\u00adend Matteo, whe\u00adre they watch foxes \u2014 until an acci\u00addent chan\u00adges ever\u00ady\u00adthing. Matteo saves him and Camille gets off light\u00adly, but some\u00adthing insi\u00adde him starts to waver. He is scared and loses inte\u00adrest in trai\u00adning. She has an idea and asks her fri\u00adend Mehdi to accom\u00adpa\u00adny her on a trip through Tunisia in a sto\u00adlen car. At first glan\u00adce, it may seem like a clas\u00adsic coming-of-age road trip sto\u00adry, but Amel Guellaty takes a dif\u00adfe\u00adrent approach and paints a per\u00adso\u00adnal and very poe\u00adtic pic\u00adtu\u00adre of Tunisian cul\u00adtu\u00adre and iden\u00adti\u00adty. The jour\u00adney beco\u00admes an honest nar\u00adra\u00adti\u00adve about young peo\u00adp\u00adle\u2019s lives after the Arab Spring in a coun\u00adtry that seems to offer oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties, but does it real\u00adly? We love this film for its inno\u00adva\u00adti\u00adve nar\u00adra\u00adti\u00adve approach and the way it makes full use of the medi\u00adum of film.<\/p>\n
