STANDSTILL AND MOVEMENT

Film was the first medium that could record and reproduce movement. It was a huge sensation– big enough to turn everyday things like the arrival of a train into a box-office hit at the movies. Movement in film creates endless possibilities: Time can run backwards, brushstrokes come to life and ancient paintings are transformed into moving worlds to explore. The film program is moderated with creative activities and lasts about an hour in total.
