TOMORROW I’LL BE BRAVE

Tomorrow I’ll Be Brave

Do YOU have the courage to stand by your feelings?
Karl bends over a developer bath in the shimmering red light of his self-equipped photo lab in the bathroom. The darkroom is his retreat, his kingdom. He feels safe here. His passion for photography and filming brings recognition to the otherwise shy twelve-year-old. And yet Karl is not entirely happy. Whether in art class or on the climbing pole, he is constantly thinking about Lea: self-confident, creative, a dancer – and a head taller than him. Will everything work out with love? A movie about falling in love is to be made on the project trip – it’s Karl’s last chance to be brave: Does he dare to show her his feelings? (SAC)

Biography

Bernd Sahling is a German director and screenwriter. He mainly makes films for children and young people and runs film workshops throughout Europe. Inspired by a workshop in which children made a film about falling in love for the first time, he came up with the idea for his new film: “First love is often associated with disappointment. We never forget this moment – a good basis for a movie.”
