Award Ceremony of the 48th LUCAS Film Festival

LUCAS-Preise

When: TH, Oct. 2 | 6 p.m.
Where: DFF Cinema
Followed by a reception

It’s that time again – the award ceremony of the 48th edition of LUCAS will take place at the cinema of the DFF.

Young film enthusiasts will engage in discussions on equal footing with adult industry professionals to decide the winners in the »Kids« and »Teens« competitions. In the »Youngsters« competition, the decision lies in the hands of six young people from Germany, Austria, and Belgium. The jury of the European Children’s Film Association (ECFA) is made up of European professionals from the children’s and youth film scene. This year, Anna Hofmann (jury for the »Kids« competition), together with Christian Zetterberg and Andrea Reisz (both jury members for the »Teens« competition), will present the ECFA Award to their favorite European children’s film. This prize qualifies the winning film for the annual competition for the “Best European Children’s Film of the Year”, awarded during the Berlin International Film Festival. Cinema Without Borders, an international network in the film industry, will present the Bridging The Borders Award at LUCAS. This award honors films that bring people together across all kinds of borders and deal with issues of social justice. The Audience Award gives a voice to the LUCAS audience.
