When: TH, Oct. 11 | 6 p.m.
Where: DFF Cinema
The time has come: the awards ceremony for the 47th edition of LUCAS will take place at the DFF cinema. Young film fans will discuss the awards in the »Kids« and »Teens« competitions on an equal footing with adult industry professionals. In the »Youngsters« competition, the decision lies in the hands of six young people from Spain, Norway, Denmark and Germany. The jury of the European Children’s Film Association (ECFA) is made up of European professionals from the children’s and youth film scene. This year, Margret Albers (Jury Competition »Kids«) together with Stefan Huber and Noy Levin (both Jury Competition »Teens«) will present the ECFA Award to their European children’s film favorite. The award qualifies the films for the annual competition for the “Best European Children’s Film of the Year” prize, which is awarded during the Berlin International Film Festival.
Cinema Without Borders is an international film industry network that presents the “MOZAIK Bridging The Borders Award” at LUCAS. The award recognizes films that bring people closer together across borders of all kinds and address issues of social justice. The Audience Award gives the LUCAS audience a voice.
