When nine-year-old Lucie and her mother Caroline move to the vil­la­ge of Bectoile she has no idea what adven­tures await her. Caroline leads an archaeo­lo­gi­cal excava­ti­on the­re and at the same time returns to the place of her child­hood. Lucie soon dis­co­vers a long-kept fami­ly secret. Together with her new fri­end Yann, she embarks on a search for clues through the Blue ice val­ley. Antoine Lanciaux’ film cap­ti­va­tes with its loving aes­the­tics: artful­ly ani­ma­ted sil­hou­et­te figu­res in a stop-Motion pic­tures and a playful coun­try life are remi­nis­cent of a fold-out pic­tu­re book. Quirky ani­mals, warm-hear­ted cha­rac­ters and a humo­rous and ten­der sto­ry make the film an expe­ri­ence for the who­le fami­ly. (SAC)
