When: TH, Oct. 10 | 4 p.m.
Where: DFF Cinema
Registration: lucas-welcome@dff.film
Keyword: “Panel Children’s Films”
The panel discussion at LUCAS marks the start of a series of events organized by the Akademie für Kindermedien, which deals with the question of which images of childhood are conveyed in children’s media and which of them children actually need. Against the background of the enormous shortage of live-action films for children aged six to eight, the discussion will focus on how to find out which images of childhood children need at this age and what challenges the production of such films entails. Last but not least, it will be discussed how variable the concept of childhood can be interpreted and how helpful an international perspective is for reflecting on this construction.
Invited are:
Franco García Becerra (filmmaker from Peru, director of the competition film THROUGH ROCKS AND CLOUDS), Patricia Vasapollo (Hessischer Rundfunk, Frankfurt), Dr. Rüdiger Hilmer (film and television dramaturge), N.N. (pedagogical expert)
Presenter:
Margret Albers (Förderverein Deutscher Kinderfilm e.V., member of the Akademie für Kindermedien)
The discussion will be held in German.
