A laid-back summer holiday adventure with four purring kittens
What would you do if a cat suddenly came to you just before the summer holidays? Eight-year-old Jan and his friend Sami name her Koschka and do everything for the little stray – but then Koschka gives birth to three fluffy kittens. Between flea chaos and a sudden cat allergy, the two boys, together with their school friend Marta, try to find out where Koschka actually comes from. Because one thing is clear: the cat family should definitely not end up in an animal shelter. Focusing on the small moments of everyday life, Bernd Sahling tells a story of friendship, responsibility, and a summer in which a stray cat becomes a task that helps everyone grow. (KT)

Biography
Director and screenwriter Bernd Sahling primarily addresses a young audience with his numerous award-winning feature and documentary films. As a media educator, he leads film workshops with children and young people throughout Europe and develops episodes for “Podcast Kinderfilm.” The idea for his latest film KOSCHKA came about when his cat Cleo had kittens.
