SchulKinoTage: Film Package A
The 13-minute excerpt from the documentary WAHLKAMPF 1932 (LETZTE WAHL) offers a historical perspective on a turning point in the history of German democracy. In contrast, the re-education film DIE TODESMÜHLEN explicitly exposed the postwar German population to the horrors of the concentration camps. The feature film DIE WELLE provides an answer to the questions of how things could have come to this and what aspects of it remain relevant today. Using a school project as an example, this illustrates how easily authoritarian ideas can regain a foothold. The film program provides an opportunity to reflect on democracy, the culture of remembrance, and our own responsibility within society. (SchulKinoTage)
