At the boarding school for the deaf and hard of hearing, a new pupil causes astonishment: sign language is foreign to him, he does not express himself verbally. Seemingly lost, the audience also puzzles over signs, reads faces, interprets intentions and emotions. (SiS)

Marta Z. Nowak is a graduate of the Faculty of Media Arts at the Academy of Arts in Warsaw. She is currently studying film directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice, Poland.
