Coming-of-age story animated with light lines about being trapped – and breaking free
Christophe just keeps falling over: at dinner, at school, in church, on the tractor, when photos are taken. Because something is wrong with his back, he now has to wear an iron corset. Christophe’s world is thrown off balance. As if it weren’t enough that he can’t live up to his father’s expectations! But then Christophe discovers playing the organ – which leads to even more problems as it becomes increasingly clear that his parents’ farm is in serious financial trouble. In an airy drawing style, the animated film tells the story of a boy who must find his place in the world between the expectations of others and his own dreams. (SSt)

Louis Clichy
Biography
Louis Clichy gained his first experience in the film industry through his own short films, as a 3D animator for Pixar, and as a director alongside Alexandre Astier on the ASTERIX animated films. For IRON BOY, he not only returns to his roots in animation style: Christophe and his home in the French region of Beauce are based on Clichy’s childhood.
