FLICK is a cooperation project of Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna, Deutsches Filminstitut – DIF (Frankfurt), Cinémathèque royale de Belgique (Brussels), EYE Filmmuseum (Amsterdam), Les enfants de cinéma (Paris) and the Association des Cinémathèques Européennes (Brussels/ Amsterdam). It is co-financed by the EU program Creative Europe MEDIA. The goal is to increase awareness for the importance of film literacy and European film heritage and to explore the potential of digital tools.

Medellín, Colombia. Paula alias Lita is studying photography at the same University her father is teaching at as a professor. One day, he is taken away from her in an attack. Grief, shock, desperation and anger mix with the realization that the police won’t help. Paula throws herself into oblivion, drinks and parties in the city’s clubs. Then he stands before her: Jesús, her father’s murderer. KILLING JESUS is a disturbing work on the complex questions that arise in the face of existential experience of violence. Director Dorte Bengtson works in the field of animation. Her graduate film SYLFIDDEN, made in the course of her animation directing studies, was chosen for the Cannes Film Festival 2009. Her second short film SKYGGEDYRET was similarly successful and was screened at a number of European film festivals.

Sylvia Le Fanu was born in 1990 in London and grew up in Denmark. In 2013 she attained a bachelor’s degree in Film and Media studies from the University of Copenhagen. In the course of her degree, she made the short film ABU ADNAN. Since 2017 she has been a directing student at a Norwegian film school.

Sergei Ryaboy was born in Russia in 1977. As a student, he produced his first animated film ODIN DOMA. After graduating, he worked in different studios in Moscow as an animator. In 2007 he made the independent animated film RYBKA.

After completing his studies in communications, specializing in multimedia at the Université du Québec, Vincent Wilson began working as a director of advertisement films at the television channel TQS Quebec. His short films have been screened in Canada as well as worldwide.

Adib Alkhalidey works as an artist in Montreal. He is particularly known for his work in comedy, but has always had a great interest in film. After the success of his first comedy one-man show, he works as a screenwriter and director for a number of web series. VA JOUER DEHORS is his first short film.

Javier Quintas (*1963 in Madrid) began his career in 1990 as an assistant director and worked on many Spanish television and film productions. In 2005, he became a part of the award winning series EL COMISSARIO and directed a number of episodes.
