Short Film Program for »Minis«

Short Film Program for »Minis«

Once again this year, children from the Grüne Soße day care centre have put together their own program. They selected films from the Cinemini Europe film catalogue, a European film education project for children aged three to six.

The Cinemini catalogue contains many different films: experimental, old, and animated. They weren’t made specifically for children, but were selected specifically for them. In a workshop, the young participants decide for themselves which films they want to share with the audience, what title to give the program, and which accompanying active sessions should take place in the cinema.

During the festival week, film educator Paula Engelhardt will host the finished »Minis« program. Representing the group, she brings the children’s ideas to the screen. The audience can look forward to a film program with fun, playful activities. Perhaps there will be painting or dancing between the films, or a large web of thread spun between the cinema seats— what happens exactly is up to the children!

During the program, it is therefore explicitly permitted to laugh, talk, and move around the room. Where can you find such a thing, some of you may ask. Right here! Everyone—children, parents, grandparents—is cordially invited to marvel, have fun, and be surprised by the film selection.

The film selection for the »Minis« will be announced here shortly.
